QUESTIONS + ANSWERS
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
I use NIKON… the D700 (still my favorite - gives a film-like look), D750 & D7100 along with the trusty 24-70mm lens and sublime 50mm prime lens . I also use a flash when required, mainly at the reception.
DO YOU SHOOT ALONE?
At Adivas we are a husband and wife team. Greg, my husband, is an amazing second shooter and professional photographer in his own right. I love that he has a different perspective to me because it means we can give you your love story from different angles.
DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?
Yes, we have full liability insurance and we also carry back-up equipment.
HOW DO WE RECEIVE OUR IMAGES?
Your images are delivered via a beautiful online gallery that you can share with family and friends, buy prints and download. They stay on a cloud back up for 2 years. You will receive more information about the gallery when you book with us.
DO YOU TRAVEL?
Yes, we do destination weddings. We love to travel! Just drop me a line about your plans and we can discuss.
WHY DO YOU OFFER A FREE ENGAGEMENT SHOOT?
I am a huge fan of engagement shoots for many reasons: It is a fabulous way to get to know each other, learn about your likes/dislikes, learn the areas of your body you are conscious of, what poses/shapes work best for you, learn our core poses so you are a pro on the day. Also it is such a precious time your engagement, it should be immortalized plus you get the chance to use the images for your Save the Date.
DO YOU PROVIDE TIMELINES?
A good timeline is a key part of your wedding day…I have years of practice providing my brides with timelines to ensure that we have enough time for all your photography in a relaxed manner. After you book we normally go through your day in depth to ensure I am aware of everything you have planned, this then allows me to create the best timeline for your wedding day.
DO YOU NEED TO SEE THE VENUE BEFORE THE DAY?
If I am new to the venue, then I normally will visit before the wedding to learn the best spots to photograph to ensure you get the bold and unique images we love so much. If the venue is at a destination then we normally will arrive early to scout spots.
DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?
Yes, we have full liability insurance. We also carry back up equipment with us.
WHAT IS YOUR STYLE?
Greg and myself are artistic photographers, we pride ourselves on providing rich, textured and bold images that provoke emotions. We have been told by many clients that they love our perspective of their day because it gives them unique wedding images which are timeless and different from the norm.
HOW MANY IMAGES WILL WE RECEIVE?
Because I believe in delivering only the highest quality images, I do not provide a set number of photographs. During the editing process, I will artistically curate your photos to include only those that meet my professional standards and which capture the essence of your celebration. Generally speaking, you can expect to receive 750+ images.
WHAT IS IT LIKE TO WORK WITH YOU?
My goal is to care about my clients. I am by nature super organized and professional throughout the process so that you can relax with the confidence that your most meaningful moments will be captured. I create a boutique experience that results in timeless and classic images that will cherish and reflect on for the rest of your life.
WHAT TYPE OF PAYMENT DO YOU TAKE?
We accept CASHAPP, VENMO, Checks and you can also pay online on our website by credit card.
WHAT IS THE BOOKING PROCESS?
If you would like to work together, please write me here. To secure your wedding date, you will sign a photography contract and send a $750 retainer fee. The final payment is due four weeks prior to your wedding.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU GET SICK?
I have never missed a wedding and don't plan on missing one in the future. That being said, I have a full emergency plan in place should I be physically unable to photograph your wedding. If your collection includes a second photographer, she will take over and we will place a second photographer with her.
CAN I SEND YOU A PINTEREST BOARD OF IMAGES?
When you book with me, I take that as a sign that you trust me and my work. Sending a pinterest board of images can be limiting; as an artist, I am not allowed to duplicate another photographer's work. If you have an image in mind that really speaks to you, let's work together to create something special. I ask that you allow me to direct the experience and to create the best possible work.
